Pickled Eggs on Rye at the Saloon

At North Beach - we stumbled over the Comstock Saloon - a new cocktail bar and restaurant.  Most of the waiters were bearded, in waistcoat suits (apart from the Saloon Madame who was sporting the ideal cowboy boot).  The food was 'pioneer' style - suet pastry pies, pickled fish and cauliflower salads, cured meats (which are a staple here).   The fit out was very clever.  The detail in these places blows us away everytime.
